Vanhal wrote two sonatas for the clarinet (at least)...
No 1 in B flat was published by Simrock in Bonn in 1806
There is a copy of this edition in the Library of Congress
It was republished in 1948 simultaneously
by McGinnis and Marx in New York and Nakladatelstvi Rovnost in Brno
Both have long editorial notes, the latter in Czech only.
Parts are also provided for violin and flute ...

No 2 in E flat was published by Chemische Druckerey, in Vienna in 1810
This was republished by Schott in 1971. The editor noted that the composer
permitted performance on violin, viola or even 'cello, 'as was customary' .

The earliest Clarinet Sonata that I know about (or have not forgotten)
is by another Czech: Vaclav Vodicka (1720-1774 Munich)
based on the composer's death date. BUT I suspect that it was not
for the clarinet originally. Vodicka (Wodizka, Wodik) wrote concertos
for the flute and the oboe and eight sonatas for flute
published in Paris in 1739 (sic) ! according to Kratochvil
The editor is telling us nothing

The date of composition is not known nor can I supply
any other information about the composer. He is probably in
Dlabac's Lexicon but I don't have a copy
It has been published by Transatlantiques in Paris with a realisation
of the bass part (1981) - should be tried with a harpsichord.

Lefevre (1763-1829) Sonatas (1802 Method to1804)
sound very well with harpsichord.
So there is the answer. Lefevre was probably first.
