>I'd like to hear some thoughts on the Leblanc Opus clarinet. I've been
playing a Buffet R13 for over 15 years but was recently impressed by
the homogenous sound of the Leblanc. It seems to respond very easily
also. Any thoughts on Buffet vs. Leblanc ?
<

Really a matter of taste. I have only played an Opus briefly, but very mu=
ch
prefer
it to the Buffet. If I played enough now to change my 40-year old Boosey
and Hawkes,
this would be my first stop for a serious look.

They are comparable manufacturing quality. Others will tell you =

differently, so you have to try them, but it is certainly a candidate. I
don't have anything
in principle against Buffet - I have their bass, which I like very much.
