Thanks for the concern... ok here goes for the details.

1/ YAMAHA YAS-25 ALTO SAX

2/ a) YAMAHA 4C MOUTHPIECE (CAME WITH THE SAX)
b) ROUSSEAU JAZZ METAL ALTO 8 FACING MOUTHPIECE

3/ The old sax was a jupiter (yuck model)

4/ I use an orchestral set A and Bb Buffet crampon R13s

5/ mouthpiece is VANDOREN A1 CRYSTAL

6/ I use the ROVNER ligatures for Clarinet and Sax.

7/ SAX REEDS - LA VOZ med hard "Cool Jazz"
- LA VOZ Med soft (with the rubber mouthpiece)
CLARINET REEDS
- Vandoren 3.5
- VINTAGE (Australian reeds) Med Hard.

I have been concentrating on technique with the new sax so doing lots of
Rubanks advanced method.... and for fun also playing lots of jazz
standards. On Clarinet it is mostly classical study....scales etc.
Also I play with my students every day so anything they do ; I do too.
The problem of the biting has only started with the new sax and no
dental changes or physical changes have occured.
WHY IS THIS HAPPENING? What should I do to rectify this before it
becomes a habit?

Thanks all
Christina
