I was fortunate to attend a recital by up and coming young clarinetist Igor
Begelman in the Ravinia Rising Stars recital series.

This young man played a demanding program and carried it off extremely well
He made extensive use of both double-tonguing AND circular breathing. I have
seldom heard a clarinetist who used his air stream better. He created
extremely lyrical legato passages which seemed never to end. And NO, it did
not affect the quality of his tone.

In his encore, he knocked my socks off. He used circular breathing and
double-tonguing at the SAME TIME. I almost fell out of my chair!

Later I found out he is a student of Charles Neidich.
