Subject: RE: [kl] Getting contradicted by an idiot repairman ------ David,
Since I have returned to teaching again I have been reminded of something
that I forgot long ago. Apparently, teachers are the only people in the
world who don't know anything. I'll bet this repairman was more expensive
than the others, also. People like this are not worth your time to even get
upset over. I which you luck in finding a better repairman.

Thanks Jay. This guy is not my repair man (I hardly ever even refer
students to him, but this one lives close to him, so I did). Kind of a
funny scene, as my student was arguing with the guy. He knew better, as I
explained to him why I wanted the cork pads, etc.
I'll bet you're right about the price, but heck, repair guys deserve what
they charge usually. I never balk at the price. I've even tipped my
repairman as sometimes he works for an hour after putting down what he was
working on to help me, and only charges $15! I've tipped him an extra $10,
and told him lunch was on me.
