Note that key word listening. Back when I played rock, musicians had
enough sense to stand next to the speakers rather than in front of
them. I don't know about jackhammers, but when the brakes overheat on
the subway and the wheels scream like banchees, most folks have their
hands over their ears and I am grooving to the neat sounds.

If worse comes to worse, and hearing goes to pot, boogie when the dog
boogies.
