Yes, thanks much. I was able to do some detective work on my father's old
1925 Conn tenor which I played through high school and college.

Maybe some one of you sax gurus could answer this to me off list -
underneath the patent date, and above the "T" for tenor is a number
M9954, which didn't seem to be addressed on any of the web sites. Anyone
know what that number refers to? It's not the serial number.
