In response to my request for a suggested ligature for a Gennusa GE,

As I originally wrote, my inverted Bonade barely closes on this mouthpiece.
It works, but the screws are really straining.

OK, maybe I do have to order a new Rovner and specify the Gennusa mouthpiece.

Funny you should mention the Pyne. I've been seriously considering this
option. It seems like a screw-less ligature might be a good choice for
mouthpiece with a "fat" bottom. Jim Pyne, will your ligature hold well on a
"fat" mouthpiece?

Does anyone know if "Iggy" was using a blank with a fatter bottom in 1998?

Hmmm, something else to buy and then add to my ligature box if it doesn't fit.

Exactly! To get this ligature to work, I have to back the screws off to the
point at which they barely hold. And that works only on my *old* inverted
Bonade. The new (unstretched?) one requires that I back off the screws to
the point at which they don't hold at all.

That's encouraging. The Bay actually fits?

Coincidentally, I have two bottles of Sam Adams Octoberfest left in the
refrigerator, but no Winter Lager. Hmm, maybe I will try that Bay ligature
right after I drink the beer that's left from October.

Yes, I know. I have both, Bill. I've tried both. I described attempts to
use both. You need to reread my originally mesage more carefully.

Thanks to all for the feedback. If anyone has additional comments, I'm
still listening.
