The daughter of a colleague, when she was 3 or 4, came into a chamber
music rehearsal we were having, and heard her mother trying to coax out
some particularly nasty high harmonics. She said "Mommy, you need rosin
on your bow!" When the situation was explained, she ran off saying, "I'll
come back when you're playing low notes!"

this young lady, now a junior in college, ultimately took up the cello!
