[Buckman, Nancy] On Wednesday evenings, I play with a jazz
ensemble. I sit in front of the brass and just to the side of the drum set.
Last night at rehearsal my chair started to move across the floor from the
drums and I actually had pain in my ears from the brass. I am going this
afternoon to buy some hearing protection. I was really uncomfortable last
night. I've never experienced anything like this before, but it would seem
to me that things shouldn't be pushed to that extreme.
