I am saying this half seriously. When the brass section really cuts loose, I
often just stop playing. Who's going to hear you anyway?

Worse thing to do is try to compete. Just leads to forcing the tone and
wearing yourself out. Let the brass have their moment in the sun, then come
back in for some REAL (lol) music making.
