Apple Hill Center for Chamber Music in East Sullivan, NH (near Keene, not
far from Brattleboro, VT) offers 10-day sessions geared for the
older amateur. The average age of the campers is somewhere over 20
and there are no kids under 14 or so because the campers are expected to
be self-regulating. There are NO lessons, NO band, NO orchestra. Only
wonderful chamber music coached by members of the Apple Hill Chamber
Players and invited faculty (who perform at every session). The food is
excellent (no "camp food" here) the accomodations spartan, but adequate
(no indoor plumbing at the "camper cabins") and the scenery breathtaking.
