Try the first movement of the Weber 2nd Clarinet Concerto. It is very =
exciting and different. It will also force you to work on your =
weaknesses. I have found that choosing music which exposes my =
weakness, helps to eventually turn it into a strength.

Hey Fellow Clarinet players,
I'm writing this because i'm figuring you guys are the best people to =
ask,=20
and that i'm sure you all know all the clarinet literature pretty well.=20
First i'll give some info about myself...
I guess I'd consider myself to be an intermediete clarinet player, i've =
been=20
playing 7 years. Last year i receieved a 94/100 on mozarts concerto, to =
give=20
you an idea of how i play. I'm strongest in the speed of movement of my =

fingers & flexibility around the clarinet. The thing i think i do worst =
is=20
staccato sixteenths in the upper register. I absolutely love playing =
the=20
really low notes, and especially music with contrast between the low and =
high=20
notes, if you know what i'm saying? I'm willing to work hard, but i =
don't=20
want to be TOO ambitious and end up getting myself into something i'll =
end up=20
getting way frusterated with.
Could you recomend a peice for me to prepare, with the strengths and=20
weaknesses i told you in mind? I wanted something different than Mozart, =

something exciting, something different. =20

Thanks Again,
Leigh-Anne
