I'm quite sure you could get them from a number of sources:

The Woodwind and the Brasswind in South Bend, Indiana (800/348-5003)

Frederic Weiner on Long Island, New York (800/622-2675)

International Music Suppliers, near Chicago (800/762-1116)

Muncy Winds in North Carolina (800/333-6415)

The Saxophone Shop in Evanston, IL (can't find their phone number at the
moment)

Pro Winds in Bloomington, IN (800/789-8509)

I just checked the catalogs of all the above, and they all have the
Rousseau 4R listed, so I don't think it would be accurate to say that "no
one" has them in stock.

Some of these places will let you take about three mouthpieces, charging
them to your credit card. Then, after you have made your selection and
returned all the others, they will credit your account for the proper
amount, provided there are no scratches on the returned mouthpieces. So,
when trying them, put a piece of something like Scotch plastic tape on the
top of the mouthpiece so that your teeth don't leave marks, and make sure
that your ligature doesn't leave any scratches.
