We (i.e., "The SeaWinds" flute/clarinet duo) had our first holiday gig on
Saturday. It was a fundraiser for a local wildlife rehabilitator's group. As
usual, we played traditional Christmas carols BUT this year was different
because we had piano accompaniment on disc. That is because earlier this fall
I had commissioned David Blumberg (reedman@-----.com) to create piano
accompaniments for the Zimmerman Christmas book. Dave, who is a wonderful
pianist as well as clarinetist, did a fantastic job with this play-along CD.
His tempo is PERFECT and the disc is absolutely in tune.

I call Dave our "pianist in a box" because I take along on gigs his CD and a
Sony portable stereo. I chuckle when I think how often Dave will accompany me
and my flute-playing friend this holiday season. In fact, we are actively
booking private parties and "Living Christmas Cards" as I write this.

You can order Dave's CD for a pittance and use the CD with ANY
instrument(s)...not just clarinet...by purchasing the appropriate Zimmerman
book. For more details about what you need to set up your own holiday road

By the way, I receive no royalties or compensation whatsoever from the sale
of this CD. In fact, it cost me a bundle of money to commission the work in
the first place ;-)

But I did it so that other serious amateurs can share the gift of music with
family, friends, and the public this holiday season.
