I agree with Chris. With the Bundy mouthpiece that came with mine, I was
unbearably sharp and couldn't really pull enough to get in tune. I
purchased a 5RV and that made a dramatic difference and brought the pitch
down to a manageable level. The difference is, I believe, due to the
diameter and shape of the mouthpiece bore. Since it affects the tuning of
the entire instrument, it alleviated the problems associated with extreme
pulling (i.e. even though some notes come in tune, others remain sharp, and
yet others go flat).
