A new what?

Any instrument that doesn't come in through the official US distributor
won't be covered by warranty. I don't think I would want to pay that kind
of money for a clarinet I hadn't tried anyway. You should be able to try
a selection in the DC area, from what I hear.

My teacher said that i can get a new one shiped directly from europe for
less
than about $2200.
