If you are having a tough time convincing your parents to buy a new clarinet, do
not even consider the "Prestige" instruments. They are more expensive versions
of the R 13 or RC bore Buffet clarinets. The list price of a Prestige
instrument in either bore exceed $5000 each, and the list price of a standard r
13 is less than $4000.
