A very interesting posting by Mr. Swiney. However, confusion could be the
result of the information about "Chedeville". Charles Chedeville lived in
France and owned an important mouthpiece making company, famous for blanks
used by many makers including the Frank Kaspars (there were two!). Frank
Chedeville lived in Philadelphia and made/faced mouthpieces. It does not
appear that he made blanks. The family connection between Charles and Frank
Chedeville is not known.
