It'll be a while before I record anything. Still trying to get my breath
support back. (Surgery on the diaphram can/did have disasterous effect on
breath support. Used to double flute fairly well. After surgery, couldn't
get even a sound of it!)

If "Charlie" is a friend of yours, you'll probably be offended, but first
off, I don't particularly like period instruments. Had it been in the
blurb, I wouldn't have ordered it.

As to what I don't like: the sound, overall. I picked it up out of the
post box, as I left for work, unwrapped it, and stuck it in the car CD. I
thought I had the wrong disk. It doesn't sound like a clarinet. More like
a poor tone on a soprano sax. No focus to the tone, at all; sound is very
spread. Intonation problems -- I don't know whether the clarinet or the pf
is the problem, but the result is the same.

I can't speak to the interpretation, because I was so distracted by the
sound of the instrument, I really didn't "hear" it. (I don't know the
piece well enough to make an educated comment on the interpretation,
anyway, and I'm not sure I can listen to it, again.)
