Yes, it is possible to convert vinyl to CD. The easiest way is to get one
of the home stereo system CD recorder units (Sony or Philips are the two
current ones i can think of).

The other option would be to run the stereo system through to your sound
card and record as mp3 and then burn it onto CD on the computer. But the
computer method is quite slow still.

There are also companies that do such transfers. But whether there are such
companies in Isreal or not, i wouldn't know or know what they would charge.
