Hi,
Generally speaking, you should look for a good used wood instrument over a
new plastic. The only time that you would want plastic is if you were in a
marching band. For the price that you listed, you would have good luck in
finding a used yamaha, selmer, or normandy. Buffets tend to be a little
pricey.
