Sounds like me and my siblings - lacking music stands, we used to
practice around a round table, propping our music on our open cases. We
played clarinet, flute, trombone, and oboe (and trumpet, sax, and horn, but
that was the younger half of the family, years later). We, too, played
simultaneously, though not the same music, yet somehow managed to concentrate
on what we were doing. My dad's a band director, so I guess he was used to
pre-rehearsal cacaphony, but I don't know what my mother thought of it -
probably just glad we weren't fighting!
Regarding Richard's wife, ya gotta give the woman credit for cooking!
I'd much rather practice than cook any day!
Happy Thanksgiving, folks!

year!)
