Hi,
I am a professional clarinetist and searching for a new clarinet. My
current
clarinet is a fairly old R-13. I was interested in the Buffets, Leblancs,
and Patricolas. I have play tested most of the Buffet models and really
liked the Vintage and the Greenline. The only ones that I didn't try were
the Elite and the Festival. I haven't tried any of the others. What are
your opinions on this? Are the Leblancs as good as the Buffets? I have
heard some people refer to the Patricola as being a quiet stuffy instrument.
Anyone else feel this way? My set up is an vandoren m-13 with v-12 or glotin
3 1/2 reeds and BG leather revelation. I would like a clarinet that has very
good projection but doesn't get a thin sound. A consistent sound throughout
the whole range would be very good.
Also is it worth the extra expense getting the left E flat key.
Thanks.
I look forward to getting a lot of response from this.
Mary W. Balch
