We have received a request from one of our customers a
request to special order a large number of clarinet titles, most
of which we have been able to locate with no difficulty. However,
he lists a couple of works which do not appear in the references
at our disposal, and so we wondered if someone on the list might
be able to provide further information on these (publisher, etc.),
or point us to a database which might include them:

Mozart, arr. Perier "Ariette from Cosi Fan Tutte"
Clarinet and Piano

Franz Kroepsch "Fantasy on Themes from Weber's
'Der Freischuetz'"
Clarinet and Piano

Then we have a number of Rossini works, and the problem
here is being certain that we have correctly identified
the works desired.

He requests three works:

Rossini Andante, Theme and Variations in Bb Major
Clarinet and Orchestra

Rossini Variations in C Major
Clarinet and Orchestra

Rossini Variations in Eb Major on Moses in Egypt
and Lady of the Lake
Clarinet and Strings

We note there are several sources (WIM, Elkin, Amadeus)
for "Andante and Variations". Are we correct in assuming
that these are the Bb variations, and the "Theme" in the
title we were given is erroneous?

There are also several sources for what appear to be
the C Major variations (Zanibon, Editions Musicales
Transatlantiques, Elkan), though obnxiously no one
lists the key in their catalogs.

Can anyone confirm that these publisher attributions are
correct, and/or indicate if, in your opinion, any given
edition is preferable to the others?

Apparently, Kalmus publishes two sets of Rossini
variations for clarinet and orchestra:

Variations for Clarinet and Small Orchestra,
edited by Cerasa, scored for 1021 - 2000, strings

and

Variazioni a piu strumenti obbligati, scored for
1021 - 1000, strings, plus solo string quartet

Can anyone confirm to which of the three works we
are seeking (if any) these two publications correspond?

Any information you can provide with respect to any
of these works will be greatly appreciated.
