My suggestion is that if you are using standard blank GCs, then yes, you
would up the strength a half. However, GCs also have a thick blank model
(supposedly comparable to the V12), by which you would use the same
strength as the V12s.

(In my humble opinion, the newer thick GCs are not as consistent in
thickness as they were back in the 5-to-a-box days. I will look through
boxes and find GCTBs that are thinner than some of the standard blanks on
the market. On the contrary, V12s seem to be pretty consistent in
thickness, if only slightly less consistant in heart height than GCs.)
