Hi Wes Frasnklin, I have posted the same question and no one seemed to know.
Some Swiss orchestral players seem to like this pro instrument a lot, one
refers to it as his Ferrari, he prefers the response, resistance etc. of the
DG over all other Buffet pro models. It costs $$, about the same as the
Elite but it is not light wight. I am going to try a second hand one soon
(selected at the factory by an artist).
http://perso.wanadoo.fr/dcl/Frame/Catalogue/Clarinettes/sommaire.html is a
french store with prices of all models.
Cordially, Thomas Schaffner

Gary, You are absolutely correct. I was mistaken when I wrote DM. It was
DG and the name was Daniel Gautier. Eric did not comment about him, other
than mention his name. Do you have any information about him? What was his
position at Buffet? How does the DG clarinet differ from the other models
Buffet produces? I would appreciate any information you might be able to
provide. Thanks, Wes Franklin
