Colleen,

We need a little more information. Was it the reed that stopped vibrating? Or
did the clarinet stop playing certain note?.

Let me relate an incident which happened to a younger player I know. He was
trying out some different mouthpiece/reed combinations in a rehearsal. He
began getting a very choked-off sound.

When I asked him what was the matter, he said, "My reed has become too hard".
Well, that made NO SENSE, so during a break, I checked it out. His reed was
too SOFT, and had become water soaked!. He was blowing harder and harder and
CLAMPING down on the reed. It was closing UP, and he was fighting it!

I suggested he go up a strength, from a 3 1/2 to a 4 (this was a Vandoren 5RV
Lyre, and all of a sudden, his tone fopened back up.

One thing I have noticed about Zondas. They tend to soak up a lot of
moisture.....maybe what is happening to the gentleman above, is what is
happening to you.
