Good tip. I do that also.

Try this. Spray some PAM into the mouthpiece, then force modeling clay into
the chamber from underneath. Stick a pencil into it and pull it out smoothly.

You then have a "view" of the chamber, its characteristics, and some of it's
measurements....

Can be VERY enlightening!
