Your mentioning Fox is a prime example of how a company can grow by not only
keeping the quality there, but actually improving the products. I have great
respect for Alan Fox, Chip Owens and all the folks at Fox.

Your whole article could, however, could have been said in about two sentences.
Watch out when bean counters take over. It happened to Conn and to Selmer.

When the guys who really know what quality is, those who have spent their whole
lives learning about instrument making no longer have a say or any input and
when all kinds of "musical" decisions are turned over to the bean counters, we
all know the outcome.
