This is most interesting. I wonder if her embouchure is otherwise satis-
factory for her stage of tone development irregardless of pitch produced.
Then, how much barrel shortening would be required to bring her up to
pitch? That is to say, does this anomaly stay the same upscale and down?
A half tone down is a lot and it suggests to me her embouchure is relaxed
to a point just inside losing the air seal around the mouthpiece. Forgive
me for not adding anything constructive to change the situation. I am
just intrigued by the problem.
