Klarinet Archive - Posting 000404.txt from 1999/11

I had rather hoped that clarinet terminology in other languages would extend
beyond German and Dutch and finally reach Spanish! Can any of the polyglots
tell me the Spanish words for mouthpiece, open mp, closed mp (unlikely
direct translation, I would have thought) reed, reed strength, bars/measures
etc....
question to Tony Pay - are you performing in London in the near future
(other than orchestral) - and do you ever play modern instruments anymore?
Am not a period instrument fan.
regards
