I use a 3.5 Legere reed on my B45. Legere reeds tend to take on an inward
bend with playing and perhaps this is in some way stressful to them. A
short, closed mouthpiece would minimise this phenomenon. I, however, get
months of use out of my Legere reeds on a B45 which is a medium length,
medium open MP.
