That's because I don't know, I was playing it safe. Not that it has stopped
me in the past ;) But I'll take a stab at it based on my experience with
players in the Phila. Orch.
I'll guess that the player did not get the job. There are many players who
sub in the Phila. Orchestra that do not get hired when the auditions come
around for the job that they have been successfully substituting doing.
(Sorry about the title, I cut, and pasted the body, and left out the title,
so I made it up.) See, I was probably wrong, but maybe I'll be right that I
was wrong ;)
