No answer to this one. Sorry you didn't like it.

The piece is more about a matador than a butterfly collector. But if I
communicated the extra level that I was a show-off, showing off about
how well I could do 'matador', then I failed.

Of course, to a professional, fast doesn't mean show-off, necessarily.
It means, fast.

What interpretation do you mean?

In the original, the passage accompanied by divisi violas, then violins
and violas, and then violas again, has no piu' lento marking.

That isn't a question of opinion.

But since you ask for an opinion, it's often played too slow. It's even
more beautiful when it flows.
