Wayne, this is silly. Kicka, Wicka both are not even close to the syllables
that are used. I use t, k the k sounding like the k in click - not kuh.
When I was with Gigliotti, he used guh, which did not work well for me at
all. My other method is to swing the tongue sideways on the reed. Works for
the ultra fast 220+ BPM Quarter/16th notes, and has no range limit - it's
about the fastest thing you will ever hear. That way is a natural motion
(could do it in 7th grade), so it really can't be developed, but the
standard D.T. can. It takes a lot of really hard work for most.
