RE: the A clarinet string. I did learn how to transpose and was
actually getting pretty good at it seeing as I was only at rehearsal for a
volunteer orchestra once a week but it did get rather frustrating. I could
say that I was almost visualizing the proper note to play while looking at A
music to play on a Bb. But, then the "Doc" (Dr. James S. D. Eisenhower) -
the man who played for approx. 60 years - presented me with this funny
looking string at one rehearsal. So, I gave it a shot!!!
