Hello again! I previously wrote about a cord 17 1/2" long. I have just
measured it again (I kept the cord for memory sake!) and it is actually 17
1/4" long. Also, it is good to have a cord that is 1/8" in diameter - maybe
not quite as thick as a clothesline.

You may check that with the tuner and see how close that gets to an
actual A clarinet. Good idea you have about just using the bottom joint of
the A clarinet instead of carrying the entire clarinet!
