I'm still searching for this piece for clarinet, either with piano or with
orchestra. I got zero results to my last request for information.

I searched back through the archives and found discussion at apparently two
different times, generally referring to someone who had found the recording
by Sabine Meyer (Along with Galway on flute for the Op. 41). I tried to
email several of the people that were looking for it "back then", and found
only one that the email was still correct. <g> She hadn't found it, as yet.

Again, -- please!!! -- does anyone know where one can find this work?

Baring that, (I can't find the work listed in any current catalogue that I
have been able to access, but there's a variations piece on the same text
from Don Giovanni by Danzi for 'cello and orchestra/piano, published by
Peters. Is it possible that the clarinet Fantasia is a ... what? --
transcription of the vc/orch work?

Does anyone have present access to the ICS catalogue, and if so, is the
clarinet work listed in it? (I've joined ICS, but haven't gotten my first
issue yet.)

Another possibility, how does one access the Library of Congress
collections? Might it be available there?

I'm fairly determined to find the Fantasia, although the dead ends have
proved frustrating. Any assistance is appreciated. (Also, any direction
that someone knows is a dead end, tell me about that, as well, so I don't
spend the time searching there.)

Thanks, any and all.

Jim Hobby
