I just tried your tip. It works splendidly, but after spending a moment with my
tuner, I find I am now playing an Ab clarinet. Do I have the wrong chord size? I
cut it to 17 1/2 inches. Please advise?

PS. I never take an entire A clarinet to a rehearsal, just the bottom half. I
manage to get everything well in tone by just exchanging the bottom joints. :-)
