This is not a "clarinet" issue and I'm not sure how or where to post this
information, so I decided to write and ask you. My name is Keith Gautreau
and I'm a "band parent" and Vice-President of our high school band boosters
organization. The school board has purchased new band uniforms this year
(delivery due next week) and we need to do get rid of our old uniforms. The
school board said to just throw them away, because since they were purchased
with public funds it would be a paperwork nightmare and more trouble that it
would be worth if we wanted to sell them. I mentioned that I would rather
give them away to a needy school instead of just throwing them away, and I
got appointed to handle this give-away. The booster club President and our
band director both agreed to the give-away idea, as long as the recipient
paid at least the freight charges (we don't want to incur any associated
costs). We have 120-plus uniforms (jacket and pants) in various condition
from "like new" to "needs serious work".

The school is located in St. Amant, Louisiana, which is about 25 miles south
of Baton Rouge, and the uniforms are very similar to those worn by the LSU
Band (color and style).
