G'day

I have been lurking for a while. The recent discussion on whether to split
Klarinet into beginners and advanced stirs me to write.

I am a 56 year old raw beginner on clarinet. I played cello at high school
over 35 years ago and, having recently accepted an early retirement package,
decided that this was a good time to get back to music, while I study for my
PhD in Transport Engineering.

I find all the discussion interesting and often the "advanced" discussion
gives me clues that help me deal with my very basic problems (I am just
getting into the clarion register).

I shall continue lurking for some time. At the moment I don't have a lot to
offer this news group, nor am I able to frame very good questions - but the
time will come.

Meanwhile, I enter my plea to keep Klarinet together for all clarinettists.
