I find that Bb Marcas ten to be a little harder, but bass reeds to be
relatively normal. However, I find that they have an inconsistant sound
throughout the horn. Between C2 and A2 (clarion C and A), the sound is
rough, bordering on tenor saxish. Personally, I find that Vandorens and
Glotins have a very consistent sound - give them a try. (I should note
that I haven't tried the Glotins on my Vandie crystal mpc, but I've used
them on the Hite and Morgan D.)
