When Steve Girko was let go from the Dallas Symphony, Bob went for the gig
(his brother is a bassoonist in the orchestra, i believe). He didn't get
it, so if i hear correctly, he's the department chair at Sam Houston State
University in Huntsville.

A friend of mine was a student of his her first year at Tech til he resigned
from there. Even so, i still haven't quite got all the details.

Wow - I must be really out of the loop - when did Prof. Walzel quit TTU?
I met him when he was running Clarfest 97, that wasn't that long ago...was
it???
