Personally I would get an alto first. I am a doubler with primary instrument
as clarinet, secondary as alto saxophone and flute. The alto tends to be the
most used for promenance. You would have an easier time dealing with the
instrument size with alto rather than tenor. However, my training has been
more classical than jazz. Good Luck, deciphering all the info.
