Daniel,

Not. I started and played for several years with the 'voicing' approach.
I changed because i get much better results with 'no visible change'
method.
I have excellent results with teaching this also.
And verified the effectiveness again by beginning bass clarinet with that
strictly in mind.
I am sure there are fine players who are effective with changing
embouchure, but it is a whole lot easier to have consistent tone, even
response. Then any other slight changes are for tone color and other
artistic and musical reasons.

There is one angle/amount/embouchure strength that works for the whole
range of the instrument. If that is not possible then something is
wrong with the instrument or mouthpiece set-up.
