It's probably wise to sit down with a tuner and work out altissimo
fingerings which are in tune - every instrument is different, so while an
eefer fingering chart is a good place to start, you may have to adapt it
some. Bb altissimo fingerings may not work very well at all. Pianissimo
entries in the altissimo range really need as much diaphragmattic support as
is possible - it's the same as singing. The higher you go, the more support
you need. Finally, try to avoid having to play in unison with a piccolo!
We've recently performed Revualtas' "Sensemaya" (I wasn't playing eefer -
got stuck with the bass clarinet part - repetitive but very good for my
breath control!) and the eefer and piccolo players had an awful time trying
to tune their unison solo.
