There are several factors which will affect the pitch on mouthpieces.
The first is overall length, the next one that comes to mind is the bore
length. The depth of the baffle will have an affect, with a deeper
baffle causing a lower overall pitch. The diameter of the bore will also
affect this, with a larger bore dropping the pitch somewhat. If a
mouthpiece has been refaced several times, the pitch will rise. And
last, but not least, the facing will be a determining factor, with a
more open facing bringing the pitch up.
That's all I can think of right now; if any more come to mind, I'll post
again.
