Oh sh*t. Sorry for the language, but this news makes me incredibly
sad. In my 7 years on the list, I don't remember ever hearing of
one our fellow members passing away. Have there been others? Per-
haps, but I guess the way that this news came about -- through one
member looking for the other -- makes it especially poignant. I
guess it's also a little wrenching because my mother died of cancer
and I have a special empathy for people and their families who must
go through that. A moment of silence, please, for our departed
friend, and his family...

Our best wishes to your family, Carl, and may all your reeds be
stars in heaven.
