Here's some sheer speculation on my part. 1) The wrap around probably costs
a little more to make and in a competitive market, you need to save even
pennies in the manufacturing cost. 2) In looking at the two old Albert
system horns that I have that have the wraparound key (one of which has a
broken register key), it looks like it might have not have been as strong
and perhaps broke more often than the straight variety.
